The Fire Fit Hub

The Fire Fit Hub is a Super Youth Zone, dedicated to supporting young people across the City of Liverpool.
The product of a unique partnership between Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service, Liverpool City Council and the Department for Education, the Fire Fit Hub is the MYPlace centre for Liverpool.
The Hub is an independent charity based in Toxteth where young people face particular challenges such as poverty, non-attendance at school, a legacy of several generations of unemployment, gang activity, and the youngest youth crime gang in the city.
The Fire Fit Hub has been open since July 2014, and boasts over 2000 members.  The centre has had over 80,000 visits since opening, and helped to deliver over 900 accredited qualifications. The Fire Fit Hub is open seven days per week and is host to over 15 different activities each evening, including; Basketball, Volleyball, Dodgeball, Tennis, Hockey, Football, Futsal, Table Tennis, Golf, Lacrosse, Weightlifting, Dance, Rugby, Zumba, and Capoeira. There are four 3G astro pitches, two Gym’s and two dance studio’s. These outstanding facilities are utilised by 70 -100 young people on a daily basis.
The Fire Fit Hub strives to form strong partnerships with other organisations who can provide young people with opportunities to engage in training or higher education, improving skills and employability. The Fire Fit Hub is proud to be partnering with Academy One to provide outstanding training opportunities for young people.
